All the following ETS Trains operate daily - if you wish to disembark at the old railway station in Kuala Lumpur, you will arrive there just five minutes before the time shown below.

The duration of the journey is a little over five hours for the fastest services.

Trains are operated by KTM Berhad - Keretapi Tanah Melayu.

New Arau to KL Sentral Train Timetable (Jadual Perjalanan) valid from the 15th of January 2022 into 2023:

EP 9273: (ETS Platinum) Departs Arau at 07:47 - Arrives KL Sentral at 13:04 (Operates Daily).

EP 9275: (ETS Platinum) Departs Arau at 09:52 - Arrives KL Sentral at 15:09 (Operates Daily).

EP 9277: (ETS Platinum) Departs Arau at 13:57 - Arrives KL Sentral at 19:14 (Operates Daily).

EG 9425: (ETS Gold) Departs Arau at 16:07 - Arrives KL Sentral at 21:33 (Operates Daily).

EP 9279: (ETS Platinum) Departs Arau at 17:02 - Arrives KL Sentral at 22:23 (Operates Daily).

All Platinum service trains are now operated by the newer ETS2 trains that include a Business Class carriage.

Ticket Prices for the KTM ETS Train from Arau to KL Sentral

Fares for these services depend on the type of train, Gold or Platinum.

All seats on these services are all the same class (ie there is no 3rd, 2nd or 1st class) for the older ETS trains.

However, the new ETS2 trains that are being put online operate with a Business Class coach.

The basic fares for trains from Arau to KL are:

Gold ETS Train fares are: Adult 73 RM - Child 41 RM

Platinum ETS Train fares are: Adult 98 RM - Child 53 RM

The prices shown above will also vary depending on the new KTM Flexi Fare rules which are quite complicated.

The main one is the time you book your tickets:

If you book over 30 days in advance you will get a small discount.

If you book 6 days or less in advance you will pay a little more.

There are also many more variables like the time of year you travel, what day you travel, if it is a public holiday and more...
