On this page you will find links to the KTM Intercity Schedule for trains from the southern Malaysian city of Johor Bahru (on the border with Singapore) to Gemas, where the new high-speed ETS Electric Train Services start.
From the 1st July 2015, all Intercity trains where re-scheduled to depart from JB Sentral station in Johor Bahru, rather than departing from Woodlands Railway Station in Singapore.
Since that date, trains from Singapore to JB are now operated by Shuttle Services, eleven times a day.
"Shuttle Tebrau" services depart Singapore at :
08:00, 10:00, 12:00, 13:30, 16:30, 18:00, 18:45, 20:00, 20:45, 22:00 and 23:15, taking just five minutes to trundle across the Causeway to Johor Bahru station.
A ticket on the Shuttle to JB cost 5 SGD.
If you want to use these trains to JB, then can get very busy as they are mostly used by commuters trying to avoid the congestion on the road border.
Please Note : All long distance Intercity services on the South - North Line are cancelled from the 19th May 2016.
Long distance trains between Gemas and Padang Besar will now be operated by ETS Trains only.
Trains between Johor Bahru and Gemas and will be operated by a new Shuttle Train Service.
A new KTM Shuttle Train Timetable has started from 1st February 2017.
Another Intercity train that used to operate is the International Express Train number 36 from Butterworth to Bangkok.
This service now terminates / originates at the Thai / Malaysian border at Padang Besar Station
