KTM Train from KL Sentral to Bukit Mertajam Schedule

The trip to BM from KL takes around four hours and is much faster now the new Electric Train Services (ETS) have replaced the old diesel operated express trains.

EP 9172 (ETS Platinum) Departs KL Sentral at 08:03 - Arrives in Bukit Mertajam at 12:03 (Operates Daily).
EP 9174 (ETS Platinum) Departs KL Sentral at 11:08 - Arrives in Bukit Mertajam at 15:11 (Operates Daily).
EP 9176 (ETS Platinum) Departs KL Sentral at 13:37 - Arrives in Bukit Mertajam at 17:37 (Operates Daily).
EP 9178 (ETS Platinum) Departs KL Sentral at 15:55 - Arrives in Bukit Mertajam at 19:55 (Operates Daily).
EG 9322 (ETS Gold) Departs KL Sentral at 17:55 - Arrives in Bukit Mertajam at 22:11 (Operates Daily).
EP 9180 (ETS Platinum) Departs KL Sentral at 20:10 - Arrives in Bukit Mertajam at 00:10 (Operates Daily).
All EP numbered Platinum train services are now operated by the newer ETS2 trains that contain a Business Class coach.

The price of seats on the above service varies depending on the type (Gold or Platinum) of train you decide to take.
There are no different seat classes on all the trains apart from the newer ETS2 trains that have a Business Class coach.
The Platinum Trains depart at the most convenient times and stop fewer times along the route.

The Gold Trains are cheaper and slightly slower, stopping a more of the smaller stations along the route.

The new ETS services are a very popular way to travel around Peninsular Malaysia and this route is particularly popular, especially at the weekends and holidays when people head to Penang Island (via Butterworth) for a few days break from the capital.
