Location / Area:

The Seven Terraces Hotel is in a quiet location along Stewart Lane, which unlike many of Georgetown's roads, does not get that much traffic.

From the hotel you can reach most of the old city sights by foot in just a few minutes to 10 minutes.

At the start on Stewart Lane where it connects with Pitt street (Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling), is the Goddess of Mercy Temple.

Just across the road to your right is the Little India area of town, with is colourful shops and great Indian food.

If you carry on walking past the Kapitan Keling Mosque you come to the lovely area around Armenian Street.

Turning left when you reach Pitt Street, a few hundred metres down the road is the St George's Church. Here you can also catch the free city bus.

Another five minutes walk, brings you to the Esplanade and Fort Cornwallis, or turning left at the church, to the Penang Museum.

In the other direction along Stewart Lane where it turns into Muntri Street, it is less than 10 minutes walk to the Upper Penang Road area with all its bars and night life.
